Thread Restorer Tap Sets

To achieve proper torque when assembling any motor part you must start with clean threads.  Makes sense doesn't it.  We call it chasing the threads to restore, clean, remove rust, etc. from blocks, heads, etc. without undercutting the thread.  We stock both National Coarse and National Fine; all are hex design so they can be used with a socket.  They are stamped with the size and have a taper so they are easy to start.  Both come in 6-piece sets that cover most all sizes, 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, and 9/16.
