Valve springs deserve much more attention than they usually get because marginal springs can mean poor performance regardless of other criteria.  Manufactured to a specific free length (no load), and calibrated amount of tension (closing force), all springs are not equal.  These designed in specifications ensure proper opening and closing of valves with correct spring loads throughout the combustion cycle.  This tester will easily handle springs with a diameter of up to 2" and a free height up to 4-3/4" so they can be used for much more than just valve springs.  Rimac has been building spring test equipment for a long time and is the industry standard.  We offer 3 models to accommodate most all requirements; we highly recommend you purchase a testing spring that has been factory calibrated so you can periodically retest and if need be calibrate your tester in your shop rather than having to send it out for calibration.
