GearHead has just released a tool to make installing both keyed and plain lifter bushings quicker, simpler and more precise. The main body of the tool slides into the camshaft tunnel where it is mated with a threaded rod over which slides the bushing line-up mandrel, while another mandrel installs in an adjacent lifter bore. A bridge keeps everything properly aligned while a spanner presses the lifter bushing into place. The tool comes with mandrels for 0.842, 0.874, 0.904 and 0.937 bushings.
